At M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University, the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics hosted the XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad on April 23–24, 2026, among students of the educational program B010 – “Training of Physics Teachers.”
A total of 42 students from 14 higher education institutions across the country participated in the competition. Each university was represented by a team of three undergraduate students selected based on the results of internal university олимпиads. Teams were accompanied by their academic supervisors.
The Olympiad consisted of two stages:
Stage I – individual solving of five theoretical problems in accordance with the university physics curriculum;
Stage II – team-based solving of three experimental problems.

In addition, letters of appreciation were awarded to supervisors and participants.
The Olympiad served as an important academic platform aimed at deepening theoretical knowledge and developing experimental skills of future physics teachers.
